- Chemical & UV: Good water resistance. Not chemically resistant or UV stable.
- Mechanical: High strength & hardness, but brittle (not for dynamic/prolonged loads).
- Thermal: Low melt temp (easy to print), softens at 60°C (not for high-temp environments).
Post-Processing
- Ease of Use: PLA is generally very easy to post-process.
- Abrasive Tools: Can be easily sanded, filed, and machined.
- Vapor Smoothing: Compatible with MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) solvents for a smooth surface finish.
Optimal Storage
- Location: Store in a dry, dark place.
- Container: Use an airtight bag with desiccant.
- Temperature: Keep between 0°C and 40°C.
- Drying (If Damp): Dry at 50°C for 4-6 hours in a dryer or oven.

Important Note
PLA does not require special equipment for 3D printing, allowing the use of standard nozzles, and is not sensitive to extruder type. As it hardly warps during printing, it can be printed on non-enclosed printers.
