Popular among thousands of creators for its reliable quality. Made in Slovenia, with over 10 years of experience in 3D filament manufacturing and 55 years in plastic processing. WOOD PLA contains ground wood particles, giving the final products a wood-like texture and feel.
WOOD PLA is based on PLA filament, making it easy to print. Due to the added ground wood particles, the finished products have a textured surface that feels like wood. Additionally, freshly printed models have a woody smell that is also present during printing.
3DTrcek WOOD PLA filament shrinks minimally during printing resulting in excellent dimensional accuracy and minimal warping during cooling. It also features good layer adhesion and excellent adhesion to the print bed, ensuring your prints do not detach from the bed.
Precise mechanical winding and thorough inspection ensure that the filaments do not tangle. Each spool is vacuum-packed with a desiccant within 5 minutes of production, ensuring long-lasting quality. The filament contains no recycled material, ensuring a stable diameter of 1.75mm +/- 0.03 mm and minimal ovality.
Different WOOD PLA filaments have different additives to achieve the wood appearance, feel, and smell. Because the particles in the Bamboo color are larger, using a 0.6 mm nozzle or larger is recommended for printing this filament. Other colors are more compatible with a 0.4 mm nozzle. We advise not using these filaments in AMS systems, but it is not impossible. Due to the wood addition, the filament has lower water resistance than regular PLA and is also not UV-resistant. It is more brittle compared to the base material, making it only suitable for decorative purposes. It melts at low temperatures, making it easy to print but unable to withstand higher temperatures, softening at 60℃.

Products are easy to post-process, but due to poor chemical properties, it is a good idea to protect models with a UV coating.
Store 3DTrcek Wood PLA filament in a dry, dark place in an airtight bag with desiccant at temperatures between 0℃ and 40℃. WOOD PLA is very sensitive to moisture, so dry it in a filament dryer or oven at 50°C for 4 to 6 hours before use.

Different versions of WOOD PLA filament have different added particles, so for the Bamboo color, we recommend using a 0.6 mm nozzle. Other colors have smaller particles, so they can be printed with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Because the material hardly warps during printing, it is suitable for printing on all FDM printers. These filaments can break in the AMS feeding system so we advise using them directly from the filament hook.

Yes, the filaments are compatible with all popular FDM printers and the Bambu Lab AMS system. However, some users have reported that WOOD PLA broke during feeding through the AMS, so we advise using this filament from a filament stand directly into the printer.
We currently do not have the technology for recycling, but we are working to make this possible in the near future.
