ABS-GF is engineered for dimensional stability and reduced warping. An enclosure is recommended for large or flat parts. Use a 5–10 mm brim and a light glue-stick/adhesive on PEI for extra hold. Compatible with AMS. Ensure good ventilation as with any ABS-based material.
These values are proven starting points for ABS-GF. Printers vary — feel free to tune outside these ranges for your specific setup, part geometry, and desired strength/finish.
Everything you need to know about Glass Fiber Reinforced ABS (ABS-GF)
Typical heat tolerance is about ~90–110 °C depending on part geometry and print settings. For under-hood clips, fixtures, and warm environments, it holds shape better than regular ABS.
Significantly less. Glass fiber acts like rebar, reducing shrinkage and improving dimensional stability—especially on large, flat parts. An enclosure still helps for best results.
An enclosure is recommended for best layer adhesion and warp control. As with all ABS-based materials, provide ventilation or filtration when possible.
Yes—stable diameter and tidy winding make it suitable for Bambu AMS and other multi-spool systems. Use the provided profiles for smooth swapping.
A clean, matte finish that hides layer lines well. If you need a gloss look, use filler/primer and paint; solvent smoothing is limited due to the fiber content.
Store sealed with desiccant. If exposed to humidity, dry at ~55 °C for 4–6 hours. Proper storage improves surface quality and consistency.
Wear a dust mask and eye protection when sanding, drilling, or machining. Wet-sanding reduces airborne dust; vacuum or wipe down work surfaces after finishing.
