Made in Slovenia, with over 10 years of experience in 3D filament production and 45 years in plastics processing. PET-CF filament boasts excellent mechanical properties, exceptional thermal resistance, chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and high UV stability.
PET-CF is a carbon fiber-filled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) filament. This combination provides high rigidity, impact resistance, and durability with reduced warping and shrinkage during printing. With an operating temperature range of -20℃ to 120℃, PET-CF is suitable for parts that require robustness and stability. It also offers moderate chemical resistance and UV stability, making it useful in automotive, industrial, and functional prototyping applications. PET-CF prints with a matte surface due to the carbon fibers.
PET-CF warps less than many other high-strength filaments, thanks to its carbon fiber content. While a closed chamber is not strictly necessary, it is recommended for optimal results. A full metal hot end is essential due to the filament's high printing temperatures, and a hardened nozzle is necessary to withstand the abrasive fibers. PET-CF is moderately moisture-sensitive and should be dried before printing for best results.
Precise mechanical winding and thorough inspection ensure that the filaments do not tangle. Each spool is vacuum-packed with a desiccant within 5 minutes of production, ensuring long-lasting quality. The filament contains no recycled material, ensuring a stable diameter of 1.75mm +/- 0.03 mm and minimal ovality.
PET-CF prints at elevated temperatures and requires a full metal hot end and hardened nozzle due to its abrasive properties. A closed chamber is recommended but not required. With over 10 years of experience in developing 3D filaments, 3DTrcek produces some of the most reliable PET filaments on the market, compatible with all popular FDM printers, such as Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, and Elegoo.
PET-CF boasts excellent rigidity, impact resistance, and durability. It withstands temperatures up to 120℃. It also provides moderate chemical resistance and UV stability, making it ideal for functional prototypes, industrial parts, and outdoor applications.

PET-CF can be post-processed to enhance its properties. When using support elements made from PET-CF, it is advisable to remove them shortly after printing to avoid excessive bonding. Due to its carbon fiber content, PET-CF generally maintains rigidity.
Store 3DTrcek PET-CF filament in a dry, dark place in an airtight bag with a desiccant at temperatures between 0℃ and 40℃. PET-CF is moderately moisture-sensitive and should be dried before each use, especially in humid environments. Drying is recommended in a filament dryer or oven for at least 8-12 hours at 80℃ before printing.

PET-CF requires elevated temperatures and an abrasive-resistant setup. A full metal hot end and hardened nozzle are essential. A closed chamber is recommended, but not strictly necessary. For bed adhesion, standard PET adhesives can be used. Due to potential shrinkage, it’s best to design parts with rounded edges to minimize warping stress. For optimal results, consider using an air filtration system to handle any printing fumes.

Always use a hardened nozzle, ideally at least 0.6 mm. PET-CF benefits from a closed chamber but does not strictly require it. For best results, use adhesives designed for PET materials.
We are currently exploring recycling options and aim to implement a recycling program in the near future.
